Brief Description Of Activity
1 Internship Program Our SEU hosted a student from June–August,
2010 from the University of Hawaii in
Honolulu, Hawaii, whose duties included
marketing survey design, implementation and
analysis. The internship program is supervised
by our Operations Director.
2 Scholarship Program During this reporting period, our SEU
participated in the 2010 Hawaii Association of
Broadcasters Academic Scholarship Program.
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a
full-time college students with the cost of
tuition for one year in their pursuit of college
study. The students must have the career goal
of working in the broadcasting industry, either
radio or television. Our station ran on-air
announcements promoting the scholarship
program this reporting period, beginning two
months prior to the application deadline, April
30, 2010. We also distributed and accepted
scholarship applications at our station.
Multiple scholarships are awarded in June of
each year, averaging about 15 annually.
